| David Rietveld (Senior Minister or Rector) |

David is the senior Minister of BayWest. He is married to Marianne, and they
have four children of primary school age. David completed his first degree in
Psychology and Sociology at the University of Tasmania. He also has a Bachelor
of Theology (Moore), a Master of Arts (Theology, Morling) and is undertaking a
PhD in preaching.
When not in the office (or the church), or running his kids around to sports
or ballet, you might find David on the soccer field or perhaps our riding his
bike taking in beautiful views around Sandy Bay.

Charles Fehre (Honouray Assistant) |

Charles has been a
Minister for a long time. Charles brings a wealth of experience to
the staff team at BayWest. He is a cabinet maker by trade.
Charles retired after a long period of service as Rector of St Paul's
Glenorchy. Serving the people of God is in his blood and he came
out of retirement to help the team at BayWest. Charles' main
responsibilities are the 8am Service and the
Lawrenny Court Ministry. |
| Jill
Martin (Assistant) |

Jill was ordained
as a minister at the start of 2006 and the next day she was commissioned
as the assistant here at BayWest. Jill's many responsibilities at
BayWest include children's ministry and small groups. She also
plays a key role in the work of the work of
Mission Afloat. Jill's other interests include bushwalking through
Tasmania's many great forests and she doesn't mind a bit of Gilbert and
Sullivan either. |
| Tim
Wherrett (Mission) |

Tim is responsible
for mission at BayWest. He is the first person in the Diocese of
Tasmania to be employed by a local church for the sole purpose of
mission. Tim also oversees the leadership team of
6pm. Tim has completed a degree in
Agriculture Science and at the start of this year handed in his thesis
for his PhD in the field (both at UTas). He is also currently
studying for his teaching diploma through distance education from the
University of New England. Tim is also married to Emma and they are
the proud parents of Sophie. One of Tim's other passions is the outdoors.
He can often be seen paddling down one of Tasmania's many great rivers in
his kayak. |

Chris Bowditch (Intern) |

Chris is an intern
at BayWest. His main role is to coordinate the Youth Ministry
at BayWest (Cross-Eyed).
While doing this, he is also studying a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology and
Public Policy at UTas. All things going to plan he will graduate
mid-year 2007. He is enjoying the challenge the
internship program presents of working in ministry. His other
interests include: music, he plays the flute, reading a good book (not
that he gets time) and sport. |
